Threshold Braking
What is it? Why do you do it?
Threshold braking is a technique that maximises the braking force of a vehicle, enabling it to stop or slow down in the shortest space possible.
It involves applying just enough pressure
to the brakes so that
the wheels do not skid (or the ABS doesn't
cut in if the car has this feature). Getting this right in any one particular car takes a little practice.
